GREENWELL PCN COFFEE MORNINGs FOR OVER 65s

On Thursday 21st March Greenwell PCN Social Prescribing team welcomed some of our patients to a coffee and cake morning at Hanwell Community Centre.

The social gathering was open to our over 65-year-olds and was an opportunity to meet new people and spend a couple of hours chatting about anything and everything.

This was the first coffee morning hosted by the PCN and it is intended to be held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, the next one being on 11th April from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Over 20 residents joined us on Thursday. It was a really nice environment, some people exchanged phone numbers and we learnt interesting facts about each other, we even had the man who designed the hydraulics for Concorde in our midst!

There were people from various back grounds from lifelong Hanwell residents to people who moved to the UK last year, the richness of their diversity and cultures only added to the success of the morning!

I very much look forward to the next coffee and cake morning and meeting more of the Greenwell PCN population.
